Solvay announces a €6 million investment
in its site in Rheinberg to expand
its sodium bicarbonate production capacity.

Its startup is planned by the end of 2018.
With this new capacity, Solvay will be able
to deliver its customers with SOLVAir® SB 0/3,
the ready-to-use solution
for reducing pollutant atmospheric emissions
in industries, to help them
meet the most stringent newest environmental regulations.

SOLVAIR® SOLUTIONS improves the air quality
by eliminating acid gases
such as hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sulfur oxides (SOx)
in a simple, efficient, and sustainable way.
SOLVAir® SB 0/3 allows industrial companies
to comply with regulations
with reduced investment and operation costs.
The project will be co-funded by
the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
