SCG Chemicals’ Revenue from Sales in Q2/16
increased +4% q-o-q to 49,529 MB
owing to the general increase in product prices,
but was sideways -8% y-o-y.
EBITDA amounted to 18,903 MB,
an increase of +64% q-o-q largely due to
improved company efforts and
+29% y-o-y from lower feedstock costs.
Profit for the period registered 11,232 MB,
an increase of +25% q-o-q due to
improvement of company efforts and equity income
from associated companies, and
+22% y-o-y from lower feedstock costs and FX gain
as baht depreciated.
For the period of H1/16, Revenue from Sales
decreased -4% y-o-y to 97,339 MB,
primarily reflecting the lower chemicals prices
as a result of the drop in naphtha/oil prices,
while EBITDA accelerated +43% y-o-y
to 30,424 MB and
Profit for the Period grew +43% y-o-y
to 20,212 MB due to lower feedstock costs.
