- First fertilizer plant in Tanzania
expected to have huge effect on
agriculture and economic development
Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation
has entered into a joint venture to realize
the first fertilizer plant in Tanzania
with a consortium of
* Ferrostaal Industrial Projects GmbH,
* Haldor Topsoe A/S and
* Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd.
The fertilizer complex will be a high-capacity plant,
demanding an investment of more than one billion US dollar.

the value creation in Tanzania significantly. Now,

EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) service provider.

The new plant will produce 1.3 million tons of fertilizer per year
when it begins operation in 2020. Located in
the southern region of Tanzania
it will provide 5,000 direct and indirect jobs.
