( President and Representative Director: Teiji Koge,
hereinafter called the "company")
held its opening ceremony
for its chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) compounds plant
(SEKISUI SPECIALTY CHEMICALS (THAILAND) CO., LTD.,
hereinafter called "SSCT"), which began operations in June,
at the Hemaraj Industrial Estate in southeast Thailand.
The plant opening is the latest.
As well as selling the CPVC compound
as the "Durastream" brand, it is planned
to expand sales of mainly the raw materials
for heat-resistant pipes in India and the Middle East,
where construction demand is expanding,
using the environmentally-friendly compound products
developed by Sekisui Chemical.
SEKISUI SPECIALTY CHEMICALS (THAILAND) CO., LTD.,
SSCT, will aim in future for growth as a company
that can also contribute locally
by establishing a solid position in
India, the Middle East, and ASEAN
as a core CPVC business of the Sekisui Chemical Group.
