This is about the manufacture of
next generation, advanced and sustainable biofuels,
by growing and harvesting halophytic microalgae and
converting it and other carbonaceous materials to fuel.
Taking in algae, biomass and organic waste streams,
Muradel is using Green2BlackTM,
a suite of state of the art
harvesting, extraction and sub-critical water reactor technologies,
to produce “green crude” -
green environmentally,
but black in colour like its fossil crude equivalent.
The feedstocks do not compete with the food chain and
have no or low fresh water requirements.
And Green2BlackTM is an efficient closed-loop process
that recycles its waste products.
Sustainability Plus
Green2BlackTM is commercially scalable,
ready to serve the growing demand
in Australia and globally for
renewable “drop-in” transportation fuels
which are compatible with existing fuel infrastructure.
MURADEL DEMONSTRATION PLANT
DETAILS
has launched Australia’s first integrated demonstration plant to
sustainably convert
algae into green crude,
as a first step towards a commercial plant with
the potential to produce 80 million litres of crude oil a year.
