To further strengthen

its research and development activities for silicones,

Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.

(Head Office: Tokyo, President: Shunzo Mori)

has decided to construct a new research building

at its Silicone-Electronics Materials Research Center

in Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.

The amount will be about ¥5 billion, and

completion of the new facility is planned for

the first half of 2016.

The new research building will be constructed

adjoining the existing Research Center building

within the premises of

the company’s Gunma Complex’s Matsuida Plant.
