pentaerythritol, penta, and
calcium formate businesses from
a Slovakian chemicals producer.
The transaction is part of
Perstorp’s ambitious investment plan
to increase polyol capacity.
has signed an agreement with

its penta and calcium formate businesses,
related technology and certain assets.
It does not include the manufacturing plant in
Strážske, Slovakia, any real estate or employees.
The transaction is fully in line with
both companies’ strategies going forward.
For Perstorp, this is part of
an ambitious investment plan
to increase its polyol production.
PENTAERYTHRITOL : APPLICATIONS
It is used as a raw material in the production of :
coatings based on
alkyd resins,
synthetic and semisynthetic lubricanting oils and
lubricant additives,
resins based on natural resins,antioxidants,explosives,
flame retardants,PVC stabilisators and other.
In the building industry and
in the production of feed mixtures,
in silage, in the leather-making industry
