Details
Kumho Polychems
has established an additional production line
with a production capacity of 60,000 tons per year
at second plant currently under construction
in order to reinforce supply system for
the EPDM business (Ethylene Propylene rubber)
Construction of additional production line will commence
in July 2014 for completion in June 2015 and
commercial operation in September 2015.

Reason
This will enable JSR Group to respond to
* the expansion of automobile production in
Asian emerging countries and
* the increase demand from
Korean automobile part manufacturers accelerating their
globalization efforts.
* Moreover, as for the sales of EPDM, JSR strive to
optimize the synergy in conjuction with
the carbon masterbatch business at
ELASTOMIX Co, Ltd., another subsidiary in JSR Group
