announced todays that its subsidiary
Univar USA Inc. has entered into
an exclusive 5 years North American agreement with
Molycorp Advanced Water Technologies, LLC.

to distribute cerium-based water treatment product
to municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities
in North America.

Background
According to 2011 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
facility compliance discharge data
- of the 3,058 facilities in the U.S. that have permits for
the phosphorous discharge
- 397 plants that collectively discharge 1.077 billion gallons
per day were found to be non-compliant for such discharge.
