Reverdia,
a joint venture between
* DSM
* Roquette Freres,
has begun an operation a commercial-scale plant
producing bio-succinic acid
in Casano Spinola in Italy
with a capacity of 10,000 tons per year.
This plant is
- the world's first dedicated large-scale plant
for production of succinic acid from
renewable resources
- and is also the only commercial facility
to benefit from experience gained using
low-pH yeast technology on a
demonstration plant scale.

* Polyester polyol for polyurethanes
* Coating and Composite resins
* Phthalate-free plasticisers
* 1,4-Butanediol
* End products include footwear, packaging and paints
